Ceramic Coatings
The absolute best way to shine and protect your vehicle
Ceramic coatings are like traditional carnauba waxes, if they were better in every way. Where wax durability is measured in months, ceramic durability is measured in years. They also offer extreme levels of chemical resistance, are super hydrophobic, and ridiculously glossy. Additionally, coatings have a self-cleaning effect, so your vehicle not only stays cleaner for longer, but is also very easy to clean in the future. Rather than a wax that sits on top of the surface, ceramic coatings chemically bond to your vehicle’s paintwork, which is how we’re able to get these ludicrous durability claims. Simply put, they make your car shine better than it ever has, and it’s there for the long haul.

Ceramic FAQ
-
Most often, ceramic coatings consist of an SiO2 (most commonly found in nature as quartz) base and can contain additives like graphene, fluoro Polysilazane, and other formulations that can alter the coatings overall performance.
-
This can vary coating to coating, but all of the coatings we apply offer chemical resistance against pH levels 2-11. What does this mean? Since it doesn’t rain all-purpose cleaner, we’ll put this into real world terms. Bird droppings on average have a pH range from 3-4.5, which is strong enough to eat through your car’s paint without protection. Tree sap, often the cause behind many paint defects, has an average pH between 5-6.

Coating maintenance is super easy, but very important. We always recommend hand washing with a high quality soap, and a thorough detail every 6 months to optimize the coating’s hydrophobic properties and durability. If you enjoy washing your car yourself, we can direct you to the best products for your newly coated vehicle. If you want us to do the heavy lifting, our maintenance program makes car care a breeze, and is accompanied by heavy discounts.

Unfortunately, this is a common misconception. Sometimes, installers claim this benefit due to the coatings hardness level. While the extra-hard shell of the coating lends itself to some micro-marring (often referred to as swirl marks) protection, it is not scratch proof.
